8th Grade Job Shadowing

On Tuesday, June 10th, 8th graders will be participating in a day of job shadowing. Any 8th grader who is participating in this day must insure that their paperwork is in to your homeroom teacher by Friday, June 6th. Any student not choosing to participate in a job shadowing experience will have a regular day of classes.

Softball/Baseball Season Continues

The Sebasticook Wildcats played at home against Warsaw and both the softball and baseball teams were victorious. On Thursday afternoon they traveled to Bucksport to play a non-league game. The girl’s softball lost their game and the boy’s baseball won. The playoffs for the A-Teams are scheduled for Saturday, June 7th. The softball team will travel to Howland and the baseball playoffs will be at Sebasticook. Currently, the girls are in first place and the boys are in second.

SPEAR is a new group here at Sebasticook. The letters stand for Students Preparing for Education and Responsibility. It is responsible for helping students explore colleges while they are at SVMS. The group encourages students to have a top ten list of colleges before going on to high school as well as how to pay for college. This will help students pay more attention to what they want to do when they are older. Watch for more articles regarding SPEAR in the future.
