Wildcat Weekly for 10-3-08

Summer School Ends – One Week Make-up Begins

Students will no longer be going to summer school to make up work they did not finish during the school year. Rather, at the end of each ranking quarter, students who did not complete all their work for the quarter, will be staying after school from 2:30 to 5:00 PM to make it up. Parents will be notified if their child needs to stay, and transportation will be provided.

Bake SaleShow Chorus is sponsoring a bake sale this Saturday at Walmart from 9:00 to 2:00. Proceeds will help to purchase props and costumes.

Changing Students’ Destinations

If you wish to change the destination of your child at the end of the day, we ask that you call before 1:00 PM if possible. Presently, the office is being flooded with calls after 2:00 PM, and it makes it hectic and confusing to insure that every student gets these messages. Any calls received after 2:25 PM probably will not get to your child as they are already loading busses at that time. Thanks for your understanding.

Fall Sports Continue

The boy’s and girl’s soccer teams hosted Dexter this past week and both teams won their games. Their games against Central has been rescheduled to October 10th. They travel to Guilford this afternoon to play the PCMS Pirates beginning at 3:30. The girls have a 4-1 record and the boys stand at 3-1-1.

The field hockey teams played Brewer under the lights this past week and the A-Team lost and the B-Team won. Their games against Sedomocha will be played tomorrow at home. The girls are also taking part in a round robin tournament in Oakland on Sunday. The A-Team is now 5-1, and the B-Team is 4-0.

The football team traveled to Pittsfield this week and came away with a victory. They play at Rockland next Tuesday. Their record is 2-3.
