Wildcat Weekly for 5-15-09

4th Grade Move Up Night
Move Up Night for 4th grade students will be held on June 11 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Civil Rights Team
Ten members of the Sebasticook Civil Rights Team will travel to the Augusta Civic Center on Monday, May 18th, to attend the State Civil Rights training. Students will be leaving school at 7:15 a.m. and returning at 2:15 p.m.

Eighth Grade Read-a-Thon
Eighth graders will be participating in their annual Read-a-Thon on Friday, May 22nd. Proceeds from this event will assist in paying for their end-of-year trip to Saco.

On Line Math Test
Eighth graders will be administered an on line math test next Tuesday morning. Students will be using their laptops to take the test which will take 80 minutes. It is important that the students leave their laptops at school the night before in order for them to be fully charged.

Fifth Graders to Participate in the Gulf of Maine Research Program
Fifth graders will be traveling to Portland to participate in the Gulf of Maine Research Program for elementary students next week. Mrs. Bickford’s and Mrs. Berce’s classes will be going on Wednesday, and Mrs. Condon’s and Mrs. Sawyer’s classes will go on Friday. Students will leave at 8:15 a.m. on a Cyr Coach and return by 2:15 p.m. While there, the students will be performing experiments with ocean life from the Gulf of Maine.

Cookie Dough Sales
The cookie dough orders are scheduled to arrive here at school on Thursday, May 21st. If your child had a large order, please try to pick them up that day so they wont have to take their order on the bus.

Fourth quarter Make up Week-June 1st thru June 5th
Students needing to complete work for the fourth quarter will be staying after school from 2:30-5:00 p.m.

No school Memorial Day - Monday, May 25th
Sebasticook band students will be marching in Corinna and Newport
