Student Technology Showcase
You are cordially invited to the 6th Bi-Annual Student Technology Showcase featuring the work of the Sebasticook students. These 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders have the opportunity to showcase projects they’ve worked on throughout the year. This will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

4th Grade Move Up Night
Move Up Night for 4th grade students will be held on June 11 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Title IA teachers, Mrs. Curtis and Mrs. Guesman will also be present to welcome newcomers and to answer any questions regarding the federally-funded supplemental reading program at the middle level.

8th Grade Project Adventure
8th Grade students will be at Nokomis next Thursday, May 28 for Project Adventure. They will be at the high school from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. They may bring their own lunch from home or order a bag lunch from our kitchen. The kitchen needs to know by Tuesday if they need to provide a lunch for your child.

8th Grade Maine Sampler
The 8th grade class will be participating in Sebasticook’s annual “Maine Sampler”. The idea is to have the students create, prepare, or build a project has a Maine connection. The Sampler will take place on Thursday, June 4 from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.. Friends and family are welcome to stop in and sample the kid’s products.

Fifth Graders to Participate in the Gulf of Maine Research Program
A reminder that fifth graders will be traveling to Portland to participate in the Gulf of Maine Research Program for elementary students next week. Mrs. Bickford’s and Mrs. Berce’s classes will be going on Wednesday and Mrs. Condon’s and Mrs. Sawyer’s classes will go on Friday. They will leave at 8:15 a.m. and return in time to take their regular buses home.

Field Trips

Eighth graders will be going to Saco on June 11. They will be leaving at 8:30 a.m. and returning at 5:30 p.m. Parents need to pick students up here at school. Seventh graders are going to Fort Knox on June 10. They will leave here at 8:30 a.m. and return back here at 2:15 p.m. Sixth graders have a field trip to the skate park in Skowhegan on June 5 from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. They also have a presentation at the Bangor Mall on Saturday, May 30 regarding their Awesome Body Project.

Fourth quarter Make up Week
June 1st thru June 5th
Students needing to complete work for the
fourth quarter will be staying after school
from 2:30-5:00 p.m.

Sebasticook band students will be marching in Corinna and Newport

8th Grade Recognition Assembly—9:30 a.m.
Following the 8th grade assembly, parents and students may enjoy refreshments.


Correct Change
Please do not send your child to school with large monetary bills. We can't always break the bills for them, therefore, they are sometimes unable to use the vending machines.

Softball/Baseball/Track
Both baseball and softball A teams won their games this week. The B boys went 1-1 and the B softball team went 2-0. Next Tuesday the A teams will travel to Penquis and the B teams will be at Dexter on Wednesday. Congratulations to the track team for a great showing at their meet in Ellsworth on Tuesday. Good luck to them at their Invitational Meet next Tuesday.

Benefit Supper
There will be a benefit supper for Dan Duncombe (Dan’s mother is the secretary at the St. Albans school) on Saturday, May 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the Palmyra school. Dan has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome and Tranverse Myelitis. Dan lives in Colorado and will soon be entering Craig Rehab in Denver where he will stay for three or four months. In addition to the dinner there will be a silent and live auction and a video message will be created for those that would like to say hello to Dan. The cost of the supper is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family. Dessert donations would be greatly appreciated.

5th Grade Academic Fair
You are invited to view the 5th grade student’s projects documenting important historical events and people of the Revolutionary War Time Period on June 4th from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
